Detailed 14 Days Kenya Safari and Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel by our representative and will be transferred to the Masai Mara Game Reserve with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley for viewing. The Masai Mara is one of East Africa’s most famous reserves. It consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa.  After driving for about 5 hours, you will arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on game viewing where you will spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game abound, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. Day 2: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will set out for game drives through the unique park, which really forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park. The Masai Mara supports the biggest population of cats besides other predators. You will visit the Mara River, where you will spot the wildebeest annual migration. During the game drives, you will also spot elephants, lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, zebras, and wildebeest. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch, and you will check in at the lodge. In the afternoon, you have an option to enjoy a boat ride to see the hippos in this freshwater lake and visit Crescent Island. This sanctuary hosts herbivores like zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park offers sanctuary to huge numbers of native African animals, including waterbucks, warthogs, impalas, buffaloes, Rothschild giraffes, elands, endangered black rhinos, white rhinos, and occasionally, leopards. A large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive through the park, where you will spot several animals. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 5: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will have a short morning game drive through the park and will be transferred to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, 5895m Kilimanjaro, is one of the most popular of Kenya’s national parks. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Great Rift Valley en route. Have lunch at a restaurant along the way and proceed to arrive in the late afternoon. Day 6: Game drives in Amboseli National Park

You will wake up at around 6:30 am, enjoy breakfast, and then proceed for the full-day game drive at the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. You will be in the park, and a picnic lunch will be served at the viewpoint. Amboseli National Park is one of the most visited parks in Kenya for its serenity and the view of the peak of Kilimanjaro during sunrise and sunset in the evening. You will spot the Big Five and other animals like hyenas, zebras, giraffes, impalas, jackals, and topis, among others. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Day 7: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park/Game drives

After early morning breakfast, you will depart Amboseli National Park through the shaitani lava plateau, to the legendary land of the “Man-Eaters” – Tsavo National Park. You will be driven for about 2 hours. The 21,000 sq km park is one of the largest in the whole world. This wilderness is home to over 1000 plant species, 400 bird species, and more than 60 major mammal species such as lions, huge herds of buffalo, the solitary and ill-tempered Rhino, and at least 7000 elephants. On arrival, you will embark on game drives to see large herds of elephants, buffalo, common waterbuck, eland, rhino, and a wide variety of antelope. Day 8: Morning game drive and transfer to Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo West NP and then transfer to Tsavo West NP, driving for 1 hour.  Tsavo East is the largest protected area in Kenya, a land of unparalleled biodiversity and naturally home to Africa’s “Big Five” – black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, and, of course, lion in search of red elephants. Day 9: Transfer to Nairobi for a flight to Zanzibar.

Day 10-13: Beach at Leisure

Enjoy the beach at leisure with optional activities like swimming, snorkelling, and swimming with dolphins (paid separately)
