Day 1: Arrival, pickup, and transfer to your hotel

You will be picked up from the Airport on arrival and will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and will be driven to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya/Aberdare ranges arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.

You will have lunch and relax in preparation for the afternoon game drive which will take you through Aberdare National Park which is renowned for its game viewing of wild animals such as lions, baboons, black and white monkeys, and leopards among others.

This rainforest park is a water catchment area with attractive streams, rivers, and four major waterfalls with Karuru waterfall being the highest and tallest waterfall in Kenya. You will be taken to your lodge after for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 of 10 Days Classic Kenya Safari Holiday: Full day in Aberdare

After breakfast, you will head to the plains of the park for game drives in which you will have spectacular views of herds of elephants and buffalos at the watering point near the lodge then set off for a game drive in search of wildlife not yet seen then head to the scenery of the waterfalls of the park and moorland region. You will return to the lodge for lunch. You will head out for another game drive after lunch and later be taken to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Naivasha for a boat ride and Fishing on the Lake

On arrival, you will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. You will enjoy a boat ride and fishing ride on Lake Naivasha where you will spot the hippos in the water and hundreds of birds to see in the lake including the famous fish eagle and the cormorants. The shores of the lake are also littered with wildlife including buffalos, zebras, and giraffes among others.

During fishing, you will have a chance to hook largemouth bass, blue-spotted tilapia, common carp, Oreochromis leucostictus, Nile tilapia, redbelly tilapia, guppy, Barbus amphigramma. You will be angling from a small motorboat and the pilot will guide you to the fish-rich areas where you are guaranteed some nice catch. You will not be allowed to take away the fish. Day 5: Hike Mt. Longnot

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mount Longonot. The whole activity will take 5 to 6 hours.

You start the hike from the main gate of the National Park, hiking vertically up the dormant volcano, rising over 630 meters to the rim of the crater at 2776 meters above sea level. The walk is very steep and craggy in parts and a trek encircling the rim and back to the gate is around nine kilometers.

Once you have finished the second section, you are on the rim of the crater.

There is another respite of slightly less demanding terrain, before making the final climb on the fourth section. While at the rim of the crater you will enjoy the awesome sight of Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley. You will descend back to the main gate and be driven back to the lodge.

Day 6 of 10 Days Classic Kenya Safari Holiday: Hell’s Gate National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven to Hell’s Gate National Park. Once at the Park entrance, you have the option of a game drive or hire bikes into the park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometres before resting at a ranger’s post. After a brief stop at the picnic site, you leave the bike and proceed to hike the gorges with a Masai guide. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge.

The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora, and many species of birds and is one of the only parks in Kenya where climbing, walking and biking are allowed. Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys, and Porcupines amongst others. You will be transferred back to the lodge after.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Nakuru National Park with lunch in the Narok town en route. The park is famous for its millions of seasonal pink flamingos and other aquatic birds. You will enjoy a game drive on arrival and will spot rhinos, zebra, gazelle, buffalo, leopard, and waterbucks.

Day 8 of 10 Days Classic Kenya Safari Holiday: Transfer to Kiambethu Tea Farm

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kiambethu tea farm reaching on time for your tour of the tea farm. You will spot some birds during your tour and will learn about tea farming and tea processing. You will have lunch and after being transferred to Nairobi arrive at your lodge in the evening.

Day 9: Transfer to Naro Moru Gate for a Hike on Mt. Kenya

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Naro Moru track to begin your trekking with experienced guides. You will encounter troops of colobus monkeys commonly found in the forest. You may also spot some elephants and buffalos. When you get to Met station, you will have lunch and relax a little. You will hike again a little after and proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. This will be a good time for acclimatization, you will be sleeping at an altitude of 3,050 meters.

Day 10: Hike to Teleki valley and descent to Naro Moru Gate

After breakfast, you will hike further to teleki valley where you will have a splendid view of the main peaks. You will then descend back to Naro Moru’s river lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will descend further to Naro Moru park gate to meet your driver and be transferred to Nairobi.
