6 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari Tour

This 6-Day Wildlife Safari in Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safaris Tour combines gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest with a wildlife safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 6 Days Wildlife Safari in Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safaris Tour starts with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area, home to a wide range of flora and fauna.

Wild animals that can be seen in this park include some of the big five, such as elephants, buffalo, and lions; as well as giraffes, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, etc. The 6 Days Wildlife Safari in Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safaris Tour takes you further through the Albertine Rift to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to more than half of the remaining total population of the mountain gorillas.

On the 6 Days Wildlife Safari in Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safaris Tour, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park by road and will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rift valley en route. You will have a game drive through the park and a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, where you will be able to sight several birds. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species, including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.

The park’s magnificent vistas include enormous craters, panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel with its banks lined with hippos, buffalo and elephants and the endless Ishasha plains.

You will enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42 km channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George.

After breakfast, transfer to the park Headquarters in which you will be briefed about gorilla trekking.

Bwindi National Park is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas, although it is unpredictable how long you will track before finding them, since it all depends on their movement.

You will set out with a packed lunch and enough drinking water, and you are advised to wear strong, comfortable boots plus a light rain-jacket since the weather in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is highly unpredictable.

You will be provided with walking sticks by the park rangers. Visitors are allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas for the purpose of conservation.

The ranger guide will brief you on how to conduct yourself while in the presence of the gentle giants.

In the evening, proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people and participate in captivating traditional performances.
