Detailed 5-Day Kidepo Valley Wildlife Safari in Uganda Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Kitugum Via Lira/ via Soroti or Gulu s we start our 5-day Kidepo Valley safari

Be picked up by your guide in the morning and start your 5-day Kidepo Valley safari. Be prepared for a long day in the car, but with a lot to see as you enjoy the Ugandan landscape passing by the windows during this day of transfer.

Overnight Boma Hotel, Kitgum

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, drive northwards through Lira in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills. Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa.

The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions, enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners, An evening game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions.

Day 3: At Kidepo Valley National Park

After an early breakfast, we continue our 5-day Kidepo Valley Wildlife Safari in Uganda Tour by going for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around, including ostriches.

In the afternoon, have a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with the Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items.

Day 4: Transfer back through Gulu

Travel through the remotest zones of Uganda, seeing the villages and thatched houses passing by the window. Spend the night in the town of Gulu.

Overnight in the Churchill hotel

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala via Rhino sanctuary

You leave Gulu, Uganda’s second biggest town, after breakfast. Along the way to Kampala, take a light break at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to look at rhinos being reintroduced to Uganda. Before Kampala, your guide will point out the Popular Luwero triangle and continue through to the City as he drops you at your hotel at the end of your 5-day Kidepo Valley Wildlife Safari in Uganda Tour.
