Detailed 15 Days Wildlife and Beach Honeymoon safari

Day 1: Arrival at JRO Airport and transfer to hotel in Arusha.

On arrival, you will be picked by our 15 Days Wildlife and Beach Honeymoon safari representative and will be driven to your hotel in Arusha for overnight stay. Overnight stay at Green Mountain. Meal plan (breakfast)

 

Day 2: Coffee tour and canoeing on Lake Duluti

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Duluti coffee estate for a guided farm tour. As you wander beneath the lush green canopy, you will hear stories from local farmers about the delicate process of nurturing Arabica beans from sapling to harvest.

Learn how sustainable practices and rich volcanic soil contribute to the bold flavors that define Lake Duluti coffee estate. Have lunch and after enjoy 1-to-2-hour canoe ride on Lake Duluti. You will spot some birds like fish eagles and king fishers during the safari, and may spot Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Tarangire National Park, driving for about 2.5 hours, for a full-day game drive. Famous for its large elephant population. You will enjoy game drives and will spot zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, waterbucks, baboons, and impalas. Predators include lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The swamps are shared by flocks of birds; green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, tallish herons, white-bellied go-away birds, and giant kingfishers. On drier ground, you will find the kori bustard and the heaviest of the flying birds; the ostrich.

Day 4: Game drive and nature walk

After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive in the park in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants etc. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the baobab trees. Return to the lodge.

Enjoy a guided nature walk in the park lasting 1-2 hours, traversing areas like the Tarangire River or Silale Swamp, providing close encounters with elephants, zebras and birds. Have lunch and relax at the lodge. Enjoy an evening game drive.

Day 5: Transfer to Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to Central Serengeti National Park, driving for about 6 hours. On arrival, you will have lunch and proceed for a game drive in the park. The Serengeti covers over 6,000 square miles of sprawling, unspoiled landscape. On arrival, you will have lunch and relax at the lodge.

Day 6: Full day game drives in Central Serengeti National Park.

After an early breakfast at the camp, set out for a full-day adventure in the heart of the Serengeti. With your packed lunch in hand, you’ll begin a morning game drive across the vast savannahs of Central Serengeti—an area renowned for its rich concentration of wildlife. As the golden light of morning spreads over the plains, you may encounter prides of lions warming themselves in the sun, and others. Around midday, you’ll stop at a scenic picnic area within the park to enjoy your lunch surrounded by nature, offering a unique and peaceful dining experience.

After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive as the wildlife becomes active again, especially near waterholes and riverbanks. As the sun begins to set, you will enjoy a sundowner. Your 15 Days Wildlife and Beach Honeymoon safari guide will stop at a quiet spot where you can enjoy a drink while watching the sun dip below the horizon. A gin and tonic is the classic choice, but other options are available. The sky often turns orange, pink, and purple, and animals like elephants or giraffes may pass in the distance. This will give you a chance to slow down, reflect, and enjoy the natural beauty without rushing. Return to the lodge after. in the evening.

Day 7: Hot Air Balloon safari and another full day game drive in the park

You will wake up by 5.00AM and will be transferred to the launching site for the hot air balloon.  You will embark on the hot air balloon safari which lasts about 3 hours depending on the weather conditions.  After landing back, you will be picked and taken for a bush breakfast. After that enjoy game drives in the plains of Serengeti NP where you will spot zebras, elephants, lions and many more.

Relax at the lodge in the afternoon. Overnight stay at Embalakai tented camp. (Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

 

Day 8: Full day game drive in Ndutu.

After breakfast, transfer to Ndutu. On arrival, embark on a game drive in Ndutu. Explore different habitats including swamps, woodlands and savannah. You will spot wildebeest, zebra, antelopes, wildebeest calves and many others. In the evening, drive to the lodge for overnight stay. Overnight stay at Ndutu tented camp. Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Ngorongoro highlands driving for about 2.5 hours. On arrival, take a walk to the Elephant caves and the endoro waterfalls. Endoro Elephant Caves were formed over the course of many years, elephants dug into the hills to acquire soil rich in minerals essential for their body. The caves were named (the elephant caves) after the elephants who created them by digging through dense rock using their massive tusks.

During the walk, you will spot elephants and other animals such as buffaloes, waterbucks and bushbucks visit the caves.  Continue the walk to the Endoro Waterfalls is a fascinating place to be. The pathway that leads to Endoro waterfall goes through the forest and the Elephant Caves. It takes approximately 2-3 hours of a moderate hike to explore the beauty of this completely untouched forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and after relax at the lodge.

Day 10: Game drives in Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the Wonders of the World. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhinos can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. With a bit of luck the Big Five can be spotted during one game drive only. You will have an optional visit of the masaai people. (Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

 

Day 11: Hike to Olmoti crater

After breakfast, drive to the crater and enjoy the hike to olmoti crater. The walk lasting about 7 hours round trip will be led by an experienced Maasai guide accompanied by an armed park ranger as both buffalo and big cates are found in the area. It offers an opportunity to spot birds with raptors such as the augur buzzard, and daintier forest birds, including the golden-winged sunbird that we spotted. You will encounter a large array of butterflies is attracted by varied vegetation, with some splendid fern species.

As you walk, you’ll enjoy mountain views and hear the faint chimes of cowbells – long before you spot the cattle that are brought here by Maasai herders to graze on the lush grass. At the summit, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Olmoti Crater and the seasonal Munge waterfall.  Relax for some minutes and descend slowly down, back to your waiting vehicle. Day 12: Transfer to Arusha for flight to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will be drive for about 3 hours to Arusha for a flight to Zanzibar.

On arrival, you will be picked by our representative and will be driven to Stone Town for a tour.  Your 15 Days Wildlife and Beach Honeymoon safari private guide will lead you through the city’s most iconic landmarks such as the old slave market, the House of wonders, the old Fort, and the Sultan’s Palace. You’ll experience the fascinating mix of Arabic, African, Indian, and European influences that make this town truly unique. After that, transfer to your hotel.

Day 13-14: Enjoy the beach at leisure

You will enjoy the beach at leisure and enjoy optional activities like snorkeling, swimming with dolphins and bungee jumping (paid separately).

Day 15: Enjoy the beach and later transfer to the Airport for departure
